Presentation Title: "Telegraph Instruments - Keys, Bugs, Sideswipers, Paddles - Through The Years".
I have given the subject presentation to a number of ham radio clubs, veteran organizations, Boy Scout troops, and other interested organizations.
My key collection started in 1947, and has grown since that time to over 200 telegraphic items. I have some keys from 'famous' hams, such as W6AM, W6ANN/W6BA, etc. I generally use about 30 viwgraphs (I have a projector; the club usually furnishes the screen, but I can bring a small one), and bring about 8 or 10 keys for description and viewing. I encourage audience participation, with a "show and tell" where members bring in their keys, and questions and answers. In addition to a screen, I need a 120VAC source and a table for setting up the keys for display. I retired last year, and supposedly have more time for this pursuit. However, my time is quite taken, so I have to schedule in advance.
I would be happy to share my collection and presentation with interested radio clubs in this area.
